Ingredient:
· 200g dry or fresh lotus seeds
· 1 lotus root
· 15 Chinese jujube
· 150g water chestnut
· 250g sugar
Instructions:
• Step 1: Clean dry lotus seeds. In a pot, add water and dry lotus seeds. Bring them to a boil in low heat.
• Step 2: Peel the lotus root and water chestnut.
• Step 3: Boil the lotus root and water chestnut at least 10 minutes, after that you add the lotus seeds and Chinese jujube, boil in low heat about 20 minutes. Then, you add sugar, cook in small heat about 10 minutes for the lotus seeds to absorb the sugar.
Finally, you turn off the stove and you can enjoy the dessert hot or cold depending on your preference. You should add it with a little ice because the weather is hot, it will be perfect in hot days.
